As those who have pets are aware, the minute animals even smell the vet their demeanor changes.  They may get nervous, pant, or panic, and that’s before they even get through the front doors!  In an acupressure massage situation the goal is to make your animal as comfortable and receptive as possible to the work.  It is not a substitute for your regular veterinary care; it is supplemental and can deal with issues in a different way to give your animal the best chance at success.  We work from the inside out, and address underlying emotional and behavioral “problems” and traumas.  As behaviors change in new environments it is beneficial for us to observe the animal in its home environment, where it is most comfortable.

4Legs Wellness works on your animals in the comfort of their own home.  Jess Niven’s love and understanding of animals is evident with each one she has the honor of working with.  She approaches each animal as an individual and tailors a program to fit that animal’s needs.  Just as humans do, all animals have their own unique experiences that have shaped them.  Things such as ownership history, pack or herd status, diet, health issues, climate, past traumas, etc. can affect the way our animals live.  The goal of our program is to address and deal with these issues to help your animal to live in the most balanced and healthy way possible.  During a session your animal will benefit not only from the knowledge and formal training Jess has received in the animal care field, but also from her love of animals as well.

We also seek to help strengthen the bond between animals and their human companions.  During a session with your animal, you are welcome to ask questions regarding the work that is being done.  We will show you some massage techniques and acupressure points that may benefit your animal between 4Legs Wellness sessions. We look forward to working with you and your pets!
